Symboolic AI: exploring the space of possibilities through questions that guide thinking

Project description

In a context where AI applications increasingly push towards extreme automation, the Symboolic AI project was born to introduce a radical paradigm shift: putting people and human thought back at the centre of decision-making.

The solution developed by Symboolic does not merely provide automatic answers. It accompanies the user on a cognitive exploration path, generating targeted, contextual questions that lead towards more conscious, reliable and strategic solutions. The project is a significant evolution in AI for decision-making, aimed at amplifying human capabilities rather than replacing them.

Objectives

The project's main goal was to develop an AI technology able to stimulate critical thinking and support complex decision-making by formulating exploratory questions. The approach is based on advanced natural language processing algorithms designed to analyse context, reduce the hallucination risk typical of generative models, and offer useful interpretive scenarios. A further goal was to integrate interdisciplinary skills and continuous learning systems, so the solution could keep evolving and have a concrete impact on decision-making performance in professional and organisational settings.

Results

Through the project, Symboolic developed an innovative product that redefines AI as genuine cognitive and strategic support. Algorithms capable of generating relevant, adaptive questions were designed and tested, usable through an intuitive interface that accompanies the user along the decision-making process, within a system that can show future scenarios and possible alternatives. The project also strengthened Symboolic's position as an innovative player in human-centric AI, laying the groundwork for further technological and applied developments and contributing to the growth of the regional innovative-startup ecosystem.
